At what temperatures should I wear a wool boiled wool jacket?
The grow-with-me gnome jacket made of boiled wool with an organic cotton jersey lining can be worn from fall to spring. The temperature-regulating properties of the wool make this boiled wool jacket ideal for mild temperatures starting at 19 degrees Celsius (66 degrees Fahrenheit) as well as for light frost. In these cases, it's best to wear a warm layer underneath. For temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius (41 degrees Fahrenheit), we recommend our boiled wool jacket with a teddy lining.
Is boiled wool warm enough?
Boiled wool is temperature-regulating and breathable. This means it keeps your child warm without making them sweat. Due to the natural properties of virgin wool, boiled wool is even moisture-repellent, so light drizzle doesn't bother the boiled wool. The soft jersey lining of our boiled wool elf jackets is made from certified organic cotton, providing extra protection and gentle on children's delicate skin.
Can you wear boiled wool in winter?
With additional warming layers underneath (e.g., a loop bodysuit or cashmere-blend wrap shirt with knitwear or organic cotton on top), boiled wool clothing can be worn all winter long. Layering is the perfect way to dress your child in winter. The air between the individual layers retains body heat, allowing your child plenty of freedom of movement.
