Frequently Asked Questions about Boiled Wool
What is boiled wool and why is it ideal for children?
Boiled wool is a felted wool fabric made from virgin wool. Its structure makes it particularly warm, temperature-regulating, and dirt-repellent – perfect for babies and children who spend a lot of time outdoors.
Is boiled wool waterproof?
Boiled wool is not completely waterproof, but it is highly water-repellent. Moisture initially pearls off – ideal for changeable weather. For heavy rain, an additional rain jacket is recommended.
How do I care for boiled wool properly?
Boiled wool often cleans itself by airing out. Light dirt can be carefully brushed off. If necessary, wash by hand or on a wool wash cycle with wool detergent in cold water – do not wring or spin.
From what age can my baby wear a boiled wool overall?
