TENCEL™ is the textile brand name for the fibre types Modal and Lyocell from Lenzing (Austria). The cellulose fibre Tencel Modal is particularly stretchy and supple on the skin, making it ideal for body-hugging clothing such as baby bodysuits.

Sustainable because:

TENCEL™ is made from natural cellulose fibres, the wood used comes from sustainably managed forests (FSC or PEFC-certified wood). The production of TENCEL fibres meets the highest environmental criteria. The production of TENCEL™ is a chemical process in which an organic solvent (NMMO - N-methylmorpholine N-oxide) is used to dissolve the fibres without chemically altering them. The solvent can then be 99% recovered and reused. All in all, this is a resource-saving, water-saving and energy-efficient cycle. The fibre is certified biodegradable and compostable.
